This page contains some of my artwork, stories and poetry. (January 28th, 2004) I finally got around to giving my webpage a new look with some new scripts I have learned and really like. I have also moved the 2003 links to their own webpage as 2004 is now here! (September 21st, 2003) Today I added a new section to my website called, "Trades". This is where you will find pics that I created for a trade with another artist or just wanted to create some one else's character. I went to FC, Further Confusion, this past January, 1999. That had been the second Further Confusion I have been to. My first convention was in February, 1997, ConFurence and again in 1998. I fell in love the costumes and the activities and the galleries. After attending Further Confusion I decided that I should try my hand at creating art for the convention as well, just to see if I could. So, I told myself to do a drawing per month, to have 12 total, to put in the FC art show for next year (2000). I'm still not sure about doing that but I did some drawings anyway. I haven't done much drawing for several years. I got into keeping, breeding and selling Tropical Freshwater Fish and taking lots of photos and writing a ton of articles about my experiences. It was as though my 'artistic' outlet had moved on from drawing to photography and writing articles. Well, I'm really rusty where my art is concerned. I've never worked with colors before. I'm terrified of them! That is why most of the first few pictures I have placed here are in pencil and ink pen. My roommate decided he wanted to see some stuff in color so he bought me a set of 24 piece 'Portfolio Oil Pastels' and a set of 24 piece 'Pastello colored chalk'. It didn't take me long to get used to using the chalks. I even took a class last month, March 2000, for the very first time in my life! I hated working with the subject we were given....a table with a pot of flowers, a bowl, apple and a vase. Ooh, I do not like doing 'still life'! I so much wanted to draw a horse or something else. I did finish the picture and it is sitting in my 'work area', actually the old computer area, until I can frame it. I don't think I will be making another one. I'm not that great at the oil pastels. Those are going to take me a bit more time to figure out how to use them. I have also been looking at a site that teaches people How To Draw Horses step by step by Suzanne Jessup. I have been studying this site intensively and I have been able to see a great improvement in some of my horses....I think I have troubles getting what is in my head to the tips of my fingers! Okay, okay, that is enough rambling and I really don't want to put anyone to sleep. I hope you like the pictures I have posted. (I have more to scan!) (April 26th, 2000) Since putting this page up I decided to break these drawings by year and month. I have looked at other artist's sites and they had this same set up. I like the idea because it is easier to see the improvement over the years. I can see this improvement in my own work as well and want it easier for others to see. I welcome any and all criticism. This is the only way I can improve on my work besides practice, practice, practice.... Just click on the year you would like to look at and you will find some drawings. Some months have only one or two drawings while others have a lot of drawings. (April 24th, 2000) After adding the other drawings that I have so far, I realized that my artwork is basically fantasy. I never noticed this before. I guess we learn something new every day! (April 12, 2002) Yes, it appears it has been two years since I really did any updating to my webpage. Well, actually I have been adding stuff to pages but just not saying anything on the main page. I have recently uploaded it to Furtopia, a new website for hosting other Furry Artists, Artwork/Stories-Poetry/Music. I felt that since I was moving it and updating it that I would give the main page, at least, a new face lift. I have another idea I want for my main page but I will have to work on it first. (As of 2-8-03 I have no idea any more what this brilliant idea had been! *LOL*)
